K. L. Hayes is an author based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she lives with her husband Ben and their pets (Remy, a dog; Zelda, an orange cat; Zorro, a black cat; and Caraxes, a bearded dragon). She works full time as a technical writer.

In her spare time, this author enjoys reading, knitting, sewing, playing Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley, baking, and hiking. She is recording her progress in an early-2000s style blog because free will exists and blogging is making a comeback.
